Billie Eilish is the latest music star to get in the passenger seat of James Corden’s SUV on The Late Late Show.
The 18-year-old singer’s “Carpool Karaoke” segment aired on Thursday’s episode.
After singing a bit of her hit “Bad Guy,” she reminisced about meeting Canada’s Justin Bieber at Coachella earlier this year. “He just stood there. He didn’t even come near me,” Eilish said. “And he had the face mask so all I could see was his eyes… but they were his eyes.”
Eilish showed off her ukulele skills – and showed off the softer side of her voice – with a cover of “I Will” by the Beatles. She then played a bit of the first song she ever wrote.
The pair made a stop at Eilish’s family home, where the singer introduced Corden to both her pet spider and her mother Maggie. Eilish also revealed that in early 2015, her brother Finneas O’Connell promised to make her “the biggest pop star in the world.”
Fittingly, the segment ends with the emotional “when the party's over.”
