BTS marked Throwback Thursday by releasing a new version of an old song in a trailer for their forthcoming album Map of the Soul: 7.
The slick visual for “Interlude: Shadow” spotlights Suga as he raps new verses over the 2018 BTS track “INTRO : O!RUL8,2?” and wrestles with fame.
“I wondered every day how far I’d go / I came to my senses and I find myself here,” Suga (aka 26-year-old Min Yoon-gi) raps in Korean. “Shadow at my feet / Look down, it’s gotten even bigger / I run but the shadow follows.”
This “comeback trailer” will be followed on Feb. 3 by another, titled “EGO.”
The first single from Map of the Soul: 7 is scheduled to drop Jan. 17 with a video for it premiering Feb. 28.The album is due Feb. 21.
