Camila Cabello is officially a solo pop act with the release of her debut single, "Crying in the Club," which dropped on Friday alongside the track's sleek video.
"Crying in the Club" kicks off with a gloomy snippet of the former Fifth Harmony's bandmate's recently-announced bonus track "I Have Questions," before transitioning into the main entree.
Directed by Emil Nava, it's a typical moody club affair as the budding star dances away her pain in the middle of a crowded audience. Late on, the singer enters a glass case and illuminates as the center of attention until the structure explodes at the end of the clip.
"Crying in the Club" was co-written by Cabello, Sia and Benny Blanco. Cabello is slated to perform at Sunday's 2017 Billboard Music Awards, so expect the budding star's television debut of the track during the ceremony, which airs on CTV.
Bonus points if you can hear Camilla's interpolation of Christina Aguilera's 1999 smash, "Genie in a Bottle."
