Near, far, wherever you are… you can get really close to Céline Dion in Las Vegas.
This is what one woman in the audience at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace discovered recently when she walked up on stage during Dion’s show.
The unidentified woman, who was reportedly intoxicated, rubbed up against Dion, hugged her, and grabbed the microphone.
Dion, ever the polite Canadian, took it in stride. As security guards surrounded the singer and the interloper, Dion patiently tried to bond with the woman and show her some empathy.
When the woman was finally escorted off the stage, Dion pretended to faint on the stage. She later thanked the security guards for doing their jobs – and the audience for being patient.
It's been a rough week for Dion, who cancelled shows on Jan. 6 and 9 due to “doctor’s orders.”
