Charlie Puth performed an emotional rendition of his friend and former tour mate Shawn Mendes' hit “In My Blood” earlier this week during an appearance on BBC’s Live Lounge.

While covering the Canadian pop singer’s power-ballad, Puth slowed down the song with his raw lyrics and paired it with a piano.

Puth’s latest album Voicenotes was released in May.
