Karen Gibson and The Kingdom Choir caused quite the buzz after they performed “Stand By Me” at Saturday's wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in Windsor, England.

On social media and elsewhere, wedding watchers were praising the group's rendition.

According to Kensington Palace, the choir "is a Christian gospel group based in the South-East of England ... made up of a group of British artists dedicated to creating a sound that demonstrates the community they share, and has been performing both nationally and internationally for over 20 years."

Ben E. King released "Stand By Me" in 1961 and it has been covered hundreds of times. Based on the spiritual "Stand By Me Father," the song was written by King with Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller.
