Juno Award-winning Canadian country singer Dallas Smith has shared a sneak peek at the music video for “Side Effects”, with the promise that the full video will follow next Friday, Feb. 24.
In the explosive 40-second teaser, the Platinum-selling artist sings, “Your lips should come with a warning” as we see what appears to be a man and woman’s relationship break down. Directed by Stefan Berrill, the clip looks rather cinematic, as a white town car launches into the air and leaves a man in shock. Is this a revenge tale?
“Side Effects” is the most recent single off of Smith’s third studio album of the same name, which was released September 2016. The record peaked at no. 7 on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart and spawned no. 1 single “Autograph”.
The 39-year-old singer also polled fans on Twitter Feb. 8 for what his next single should be. “Sleepin Around” appears to have won the poll.
