Demi Lovato debuted her documentary Simply Complicated on Tuesday.
In the online doc, the 25-year-old singer opens up about a lot of the personal and professional drama she has experienced.
“I know what music can get you through, I know what music can do emotionally for somebody because I've experienced it myself,” the pop star says. “And I wanted to create that for other people. There's nothing more beautiful than being able to connect with people through music, in my eyes.”
In addition to hearing from Lovato directly, there are interviews with longtime pal Nick Jonas as well as her manager, family members and friends. The film runs nearly 1h 20m.
Also in Simply Complicated, Lovato recalls her relationship with actor Wilmer Valderrama and talks about using a dating app — to find someone of either gender.
