Singer Ellie Goulding crashed a British couple’s virtual wedding ceremony recently to sing her 2015 hit “Love Me Like You Do” for the newlyweds’s first dance.
Hayley Pitman and Harvey Skelton had just made it official while family members and friends watched on Zoom. Suddenly, Goulding was introduced. "Congratulations, Harvey and Haley,” she said. “You're both heroes and we all love you.”
Pitman is a nurse in the UK’s National Health Service and has been on the frontlines during the COVID-19 crisis. Goulding’s “Love Me Like You Do” was originally set to be played as the bride walked down the aisle.
The couple’s nuptials were postponed one week and moved online due to the pandemic.
