Harry Styles helped a fan at his concert on Wednesday to come out as gay to her mom.
The young woman, named Grace, held up a sign that read: “I’m gonna come out to my parents because of you.”
Styles noticed the sign and stopped the show to get more information.
“I did not even expect him to see [the sign] let alone acknowledge it and talk to me,” Grace later tweeted.
Learning that Grace’s mom Tina was in a hotel a few miles away, Styles hushed the crowd and shouted into the mic: “Tina! She’s gay!”
The singer then pretended to be listening for Mom’s response. “Shhh… Tina says… she loves you!”
Styles offered Grace his congratulations and then got the crowd to chant: “Tina! She’s gay!”
@Harry_Styles Thank you so much for creating an environment where I am proud to be who I am. Your continuous support of the LGBTQ+ has helped me come to love myself and feel safe. Thank you for tonight and I can’t wait to show Tina (my mom) this video. Love you always. pic.twitter.com/Kk5FJVYemB

He later joked that he was going to put the declaration on a T-shirt.
“You’ll see that on the next tour, it will be on a T-shirt – ‘Tina, she’s gay,’” he said.
The special moment was captured on video by one of Grace’s friends and posted to social media. Grace (who actually identifies as bisexual) also shared a message for Styles: “Thank you so much for creating an environment where I am proud to be who I am. Your continuous support of the LGBTQ+ has helped me come to love myself and feel safe. Thank you for tonight and I can’t wait to show Tina (my mom) this video. Love you always.”
Grace, who travelled from Baltimore to San Jose for the concert, followed-up by posting a picture of her mom’s reaction – a thumbs up.
“She is overjoyed and says that ‘Yes, I do love you and you can be whoever you want to be.’ She wants to thank Harry for helping me come out,” explained Grace.

Of course, the jealous trolls and haters came at Grace on social media.
"I’m literally going to deactivate there are so many people telling me that I’m not bi and that I only did this for attention," she tweeted. "I assure you that is not the case.
"The main reason I made that sign is because I wanted him to see my message and see the positive impact he has on lives."
