Harry Styles joined legendary rock band Fleetwood Mac onstage on Friday night at Radio City Music Hall in New York City to perform the band’s classic hit “The Chain.”
Fleetwood Mac was honoured as Person Of The Year at the MusiCares event, where artists like Styles, Lorde and HAIM were in attendance to pay tribute to the band.
Lorde, who is nominated for the Grammy Album Of The Year, performed a "Melodrama" inspired cover of the band’s 1997 song “Silver Springs,” while HAIM covered the 1982 hit “Gypsy.”
Miley Cyrus performed a rendition of “Landslide” with her signature twang, after Jared Leto performed “Never Going Back Again” and Little Big Town’s intimate version of “Dreams.”
Fleetwood Mac is the first band under the annual MusiCares to receive the Person Of The Year honour rather than the typical solo artist. MusiCares' primary mission is to aid struggling musicians within the industry.
Stevie Nicks also paid tribute to her friend, the late Tom Petty, during the ceremony. Petty was the recipient of the award last year.
"The loss of Tom Petty has just about broken my heart," Nicks said. "He was not only a good man to go own the river with, as Johnny Cash said, he was a great father and he was a great friend, and he was one of my best friends. My heart will never get over this.”
