Janet Jackson (that’s Miss Jackson, if you’re nasty) is back in a big, big way.
The pop icon has debuted “Made for Now,” her catchy collaboration with Daddy Yankee – complete with a high-energy video directed by Dave Meyers.
Produced by Harmony Samuels (Ariana Grande, Jennifer Lopez), it is the first new music from Jackson since her 2015 album Unbreakable.
“We’re made for now / Not tomorrow,” Jackson sings in the chorus. “Made for now / Look around / We’re made for now.”
In the video, dancers from the U.S., Ghana, Nigeria, Grenada, and Trinidad celebrate on the streets of New York City.
Jackson, 52, just wrapped up a series of summer concerts and will headline the Global Citizen Festival on Sept. 29 in NYC.
She and Daddy Yankee will perform “Made for Now” on Friday’s episode of The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.
