Jason Aldean has premiered the video for his anthemic new hit “We Back” that features a cast made up of thousands of his fans.
The video was shot at Coastal Credit Union Music Park in Raleigh, North Carolina during the Sept. 8th show on Aldean’s They Don’t Know Tour.
It was directed by Shaun Silva, who has helmed videos for Aldean tracks “Lights Come On,” “Gonna Know We Were Here” and “Any Ol’ Barstool.”
The 42-year-old country star released the song – written by Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard with Jordan Schmidt, Brad Warren and Brett Warren – a day after the video was shot.
It is one of 16 tracks on Aldean’s ninth studio album, aptly titled 9, which drops Nov. 22. He has also warmed fans up by releasing “Blame It On You,” “I Don’t Drink Anymore,” “Keep It Small Town” and “Dirt We Were Raised On.”
Of the album’s title, Aldean explained in a release: “Early on I always thought if we ever got to make nine albums, I’m going to call it 9. It was my baseball number growing up, and it’s just kind of always been my lucky number.
“I remember cutting the first album and thinking 'that’s forever away,' and now here we are. I don’t know, it’s really special we made it this far – so, it’s more for me than anybody else – but, it means a lot."
