Country stars Jason Aldean and Miranda Lambert debuted the video of their latest collaboration on Friday, “Downs The Whiskey,” which sees the two singers attempting to get over their breakups.
“Whiskey's supposed to drown the memory / I've gone from one to one too many / And the thing that really gets me / Is how your memory drowns the whiskey," the two sing on the song’s chorus.
“I wanted to keep the video simple and really let the heartbreak and loneliness come through,” Aldean said of the making of the video in behind-the-scenes footage.
The video features Aldean and Lambert in a bar playing pool, socializing, laughing, playing cards and drinking, with both characters separately working out their heartbreak. According to Taste Of Country, the Springwater Supper Club is the Nashville bar where the video was shot.
“Drowns The Whiskey” is the second single from Aldean’s latest album, Rearview Town.
