Jesse McCartney gets reflective on his new single, “Yours”
“I been the face in every bedroom on a poster,” the 33-year-old pop star sings. “I been an album flop away from being done.”
The song is a taste of McCartney’s forthcoming fifth studio album.
McCartney was part of the short-lived boy band Dream Street before launching a solo career with his 2004 album Beautiful Soul and three wins at the Teen Choice Awards. He opened two tours for the Backstreet Boys and one for New Kids on the Block.
The singer also has a successful acting career and co-wrote “Bleeding Love,” which Leona Lewis made a Grammy-nominated hit in 2007. (McCartney is also rumoured to be the Turtle on this season of The Masked Singer, where one of the songs he covered was the Shawn Mendes hit “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back.”)
