It seems Jonathan Roy is starting to climb the Music Industry ladder as echoes of his name keep reaching our ears.
Son of famous hockey legend Patrick Roy, Jonathan played the sport until he was 18, at which point he picked up his guitar for good.
Corey Hart signed him to his label in 2013, and with that started a beautiful friendship. A friendship that translates to business as well since Hart penned Roy's last two hits 'Daniella Denmark' and 'You’re My Ace.'
Roy and Hart have also covered Chris Rea's 'Driving Home For Christmas' which topped the nation's charts.
As a taste of what's to come on the upcoming album, Mr. Optimist Blues, Roy released 'Good Things' and its video today.
" I was going through a very painful, emotional period trying to get over a recent relationship breakup," says Roy. "'Good Things' really hit home hard. It was a song I needed to sing"
Director Javier Aguilera and Andrew Hunt produced the video, in which Roy finds himself in a delicate position.
"As Directors, it was incredibly exciting to collaborate with a fearless artist like Jon, who unguardedly committed to the role, both emotionally and physically, to become the deeply conflicted and vulnerable character we envisioned" said the directing duo.

Roy's new album comes out January 20. He will be touring Quebec in support of the release.
