Justin Bieber launched “a new era” of his career overnight with “Holy,” a gospel-tinged track featuring Chance the Rapper.
“The way you hold me, hold me, hold me, hold me, hold me / Feels so holy, holy, holy, holy, holy,” Bieber sings in the chorus. “Oh God / Runnin' to the altar like a track star / Can’t wait another second 'Cause the way you hold me, hold me, hold me, hold me, hold me feels so holy.”
The song premiered with a narrative video, directed by Coilin Tilley, in which Bieber and Ryan Destiny portray a struggling young couple who are invited into the home of a soldier (Wilmer Valderrama).
Bieber and Chance the Rapper previously joined voices on DJ Khaled’s 2018 track “No Brainer” (with Quavo) and collaborated on Bieber’s 2019 single “Confident.”
