Technology can be tricky. Just ask Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick, who both endured a hilarious (but also miserable) fail when the Trolls co-stars attempted to light up the iconic London Eye on Sept. 29.
Here's what went down. During a promotional stop for the film, which hits theatres on Nov. 4, the pair was scheduled to light the giant ferris wheel. "Scheduled" being the key word here.
After counting down with the crowd, Timberlake and Kendrick went for the plunge and pressed the big red button as the hit song from the film, "Can't Stop the Feeling," blared in the background -- but absolutely nothing happened.
Awkward much? Still, where there's a will, there's a way. Take a look at Kendrick's Instagram post after the flub.
An executive music producer of the movie, Timberlake is featured on several cuts on its 13-song soundtrack, including duets with Gwen Stefani on "Hair Up" and "What U Workin' With" as well as his co-star Kendrick for a cover of Cyndi Lauper's "True Colors."
He and Kendrick are also credited for a rendition of "September" alongside Earth, Wind & Fire.
Ariana Grande makes an appearance with a new song called "They Don't Know."
