Justin Timberlake appeared on Wednesday’s Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, sitting for a hilarious interview and participating in a new “Camp Winnipesaukee” sketch (watch above).
Timberlake was on the late-night show to promote Trolls, which will hit theatres next week.
But, like all of his appearances on the show, his time with Fallon was more like two old friends trying to make each other laugh. They even proved how well they know each other (or don’t) by playing the “Best Friends Challenge.”
Among the questions they answered correctly about themselves was that their favourite mode of transportation is the “tandem bike,” and that the song they often sing together is “Keeping Your Poop In A Jar.”
But first, Timberlake talked about how he voted early “super quiet,” in case no one heard. He went on to urge everyone to vote, but added, “Don’t take a picture of yourself.” (The star took heat for unlawfully taking a selfie in the voting booth.)
Timberlake and Fallon then discussed his new film Trolls, and showed a clip from the movie, which he said will “blow your mind” if seen in 3-D. After that the late-night talk show host invited the audience onstage to have a “pizza party” with Timberlake.
Also amusing was when Timberlake and Fallon reprised their camp kids characters in another “Camp Winnipesaukee” skit. The two pals first debuted the bit a few years ago, with the two playing younger versions of themselves at sleep-away camp. Two camp sketches that aired on Late Night in 2013 have racked up more than 6 and 12 million views on YouTube, while one with Timberlake and Fallon as campers from 2014 has been watched nearly 8 million times.
This is now the fourth time Timberlake and Fallon have flashed back to their (pretend) camp days, and, as per usual, they broke out into song, this time “Ironic” by Canada's Alanis Morissette.
Of course, the duo have had many other memorable TV moments together over the years, such as their recurring ‘History Of Rap” installments. Check out the other videos of Timberlake’s new Tonight Show appearance with Fallon!
