Lady Gaga has released “Stupid Love,” the first single from her forthcoming sixth studio album, which is rumoured to be titled Chromatica.
It is also the first new music from the 33-year-old pop star since the soundtrack to A Star Is Born, which spawned the award-winning duet with Bradley Cooper, “Shallow.”
“Stupid Love” arrived overnight with a video directed by Daniel Askill and shot on an iPhone 11 Pro.
“You're the one that I've been waiting for / Gotta quit this crying,” Gaga sings. “Nobody's gonna heal me if I don't open the door / Kinda hard to believe (gotta have faith in me).”
The singer has not yet announced a release date for her new album.
