Lady Gaga escaped serious injury Thursday night when she fell backwards off the stage during her Enigma residency show in Las Vegas.
The pop star had her arms and legs wrapped around a male fan whom she invited on stage when he lost his balance and fell forward.
Fans gasped as the man, identified as Jack, and Gaga went down hard.
“Everything’s okay,” Gaga said as she made her way back on stage.
“It’s not your fault,” she told the fan. “Can you promise yourself, can you just forgive yourself right now for that happening?”
Gaga later joked: “You know what we did? We fell into each other’s arms, Jack. We’re like Rose and Jack from Titanic.” She also vowed to protect him from social media attacks.
"If anybody on the internet is mean to you tomorrow about this, I'm going to be very upset with each and every one of them."
