Miley Cyrus on Wednesday shared her cover of Pearl Jam’s “Just Breathe” from her recent MTV Unplugged session.
The singer is backed by a pair of masked musicians on guitars for the outdoor performance.
The song comes from Pearl Jam’s 2009 album Backspacer.
Cyrus has received plenty of attention recently for putting her spin on other acts’ songs. Debbie Harry of Blondie praised her cover of “Heart of Glass” at the iHeartRadio Music Festival. “I thought she did a great job and I liked the way the performance looked and she’s a force to be reckoned with,” Harry told NME. “I’m really proud of the fact she did our song and made it uniquely hers.”
The surviving members of The Cranberries loved Cyrus’ take on their song “Zombie” at the Whisky a Go Go #SOSFEST. “It’s one of the finest covers of the song that we’ve heard,” read a tweet from the band. “We think Dolores [O’Riordan] would be very impressed!”
