As celebrities and fans continue their outpouring of support for the victims of the Manchester attacks – which killed 22 and injured many more – at Monday’s Ariana Grande concert, Miley Cyrus is adding her voice to the fray with a special dedication before her performance of “Malibu” on The Voice Tuesday (May 23).
“I’d like to dedicate this song to my good friend Ariana Grande, and everyone who experienced that horrific attack yesterday. Our hearts are with you,” she said before the song.
Cyrus echoed the message with a post on Instagram of her with Grande, writing, “wishing I could give my friend @arianagrande a great big hug right now... love love love you .... so sorry you had to be apart of such a tragic event! my most sincere condolences to anyone and everyone affected by this horrific attack! all I can do is send as much HOPE & PEACE your way! This MUST end! No more war .... no more innocent lives taken .... L-O-V-E.”
It is one of many recent dedications from famous singers in the wake of the attack. Céline Dion and Harry Styles have both paid tribute to the victims in recent performances. Grande has postponed her European tour following the tragedy.
