Missy Elliott always delivers eye-popping visuals and the surprise release of her music video for new track “I’m Better” featuring Lamb is no exception.
Directed by longtime collaborator Dave Meyers, “I’m Better” arrived on Thursday night (January 26) and sees the raptress front and center in a pair of out of this world setups, including a futuristic space stage and underwater in a pool. Backed by a string of dancers, the hip-hop titan spits about her lavish appeal amidst all the crazy fashion and choreography that infiltrates the clip.
“Yeah he got bands in the Bando/ Missy got dudes in Orlando/ Plus I got cars that he paying for/ Man I be too much to handle/ Watch what I do, when I get up on you,” she raps during the bridge.
In addition to the clip, Elliott also teased the release of an upcoming documentary. “It's never just a record for me,” she says in the sneak peek. “It's never just making a hot record. I can do that in my sleep. But visually I have to see what I’m going to do with that record when I perform it.”
