Mumford & Sons paid tribute to hometown rock band Nine Inch Nails in Cleveland on Saturday night.
The British folk band’s cover of 1995’s “Hurt” came a day after the 25th anniversary of the release of the NIN album The Downward Spiral, which features the track.
"Thank you, Cleveland, for Nine Inch Nails," singer Marcus Mumford reportedly said on stage.
Fan-shot video of the performance suggests the crowd loved the tribute.
“Hurt,” which lost the Grammy for Best Rock Song to “You Oughta Know” by Canada’s Alanis Morissette, was famously covered by Johnny Cash in 2002.
Mumford & Sons wrap up the North American leg of their tour on March 31 before heading over to Europe.
