Nickelback's Chad Kroeger has revealed the secret behing the band's songwriting process – and it involves a sharp instrument and a perineum.
The Canadian band was one of several music acts appearing in a new "Mean Tweets" segment that aired this week on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Kroeger read a tweet in which someone declared: “I would rather stab myself in the taint than hear another Nickelback song.”
His response? “That’s funny, that’s how we make Nickelback songs.”
The members of Korn showed less of a self-deprecating sense of humour, though, seeming to take exception to being called worse than Nickelback.
But Dan Reynolds of Imagine Dragons couldn't contain his laughter upon listening to this tweet: “Trying to decide which is worst, maroon 5, hitler or imaginedragons.”
Also reading mean tweets about themselves were pop stars like Gwen Stefani, Halsey and Pink as well as country singer Luke Bryan and rappers Tyga and G-Eazy.
