WATCH Neil Diamond Performs For Firefighters

Neil Diamond performed a mini-concert Saturday for firefighters battling a Colorado wildfire that threatened to destroy his longtime home.

The 77-year-old singer, who retired from touring earlier this year due to Parkinson’s disease, played some of his hits for staff at the Incident Command Post in Basalt, Colorado.

“Now you have to save my house,” Diamond told them.

The Lake Christine wildfire has scorched 12,000 acres of land since July 3 and is currently only 45 per cent contained.

“The heaviness on our hearts is gone and we know the cavalry is here and we say thank you to each of you for making this trip,” he said.
