Whitney Houston looks like she’s having the time of her life as she rehearses for a live performance in a new clip from the feature documentary about her life and death.
The scene, which shows the singer smiling as she and her dancers run through choreography, is from Whitney, out July 6.
Directed by Kevin Macdonald with the full cooperation of the singer’s estate, Whitney promises never-before-seen footage and previously unreleased recordings as well as interviews with the people who knew her best.
Houston was 48 when she died in the bathtub inside a suite at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in California in February 2009.

She was the most successful female artist in history, with seven consecutive No. 1 hits in the U.S. and sales of more than 200 million albums worldwide. Houston also starred in several films, including The Bodyguard.
According to the studio’s description, Whitney is “an intimate, unflinching portrait of Houston and her family that probes beyond familiar tabloid headlines and sheds new light on the spellbinding trajectory of Houston’s life.”
