Niall Horan delivered his highly-anticipated “Nice To Meet Ya” overnight – a fun, flirty, rock-tinged song that came with a video full of swagger.
“One minute you’re there / The next one you’re gone,” he sings. “Been waiting on you all night, so c’mon / You know what I need / You know what I want.”
The video, directed by The Young Astronauts, is packed with easter eggs. Call the number on the napkin at the end of the video and you’ll hear Horan explain that he’s hidden the names of four songs from his forthcoming album in the video.
The first title, “Small Talk,” is seen atop the taxi early in the video. Call the number above it and you hear Horan talk about the track as well as a 30-second preview.
“It's been nearly two years since I released Flicker and I can't wait to get going again,” Horan said, in a release. “Writing 'Nice To Meet Ya' in particular, was a special one for me. It gave me a chance to experiment musically and I'm so excited to finally share it with everyone.”
The 26-year-old singer hasn’t revealed when his sophomore album will drop.
On Twitter, Horan thanked fans for their early support of the new song. “Let’s get this baby moving up those charts,” he added.
