Talk about being a beat cop.
A police officer in the Toronto area responded to a noise complaint over the weekend and soon found himself in a bit of a jam.
Constable Joel Clark of Peel Regional Police decided to pick up the sticks and rock out with teen band Vinyl Ambush in a Mississauga backyard on Saturday.
Clark kept up as the band performed an original song.
“That was the most fun I had in years,” the officer is heard saying in the video.
Bassist Corwin Bjelic told the Toronto Star that Clark shared that he was once in a band.
“He said his biggest regret was stopping, which was kinda sad, so it just made me wanna continue and hopefully do it as a job one day,” Bjelic said.
“I think everybody else got that from it as well. Just never stop.”
The scene was reminiscent of one in Compton, California last year, when Deputy Miguel Garcia picked up a guitar to jam with teen band Misled Youth in a backyard. Video of the cover of The Offspring’s “The Kids Aren’t Alright” went viral.
