This is the cover of Franz Ferdinand’s “Take Me Out” that you didn’t think you needed.
Last Wednesday at The Tivoli in Brisbane, Australia, 1,500 people gathered to perform the band’s 2004 hit in three-part harmony – and the result is something special.
The performance comes from Pub Choir, made up of regular folks who spent 90 minutes learning the song and then performed it twice for cameras.
This version of “Take Me Out” was arranged by Astrid Jorgensen and featured Waveney Yasso on acoustic guitar.
Pub Choir has previously performed songs like the Backstreet Boys’ “I Want It That Way” and Elton John’s “Rocket Man.”
