Canadian singer Alessia Cara’s hit “Scars To Your Beautiful” was covered on Tuesday night’s episode of The Voice.
The cast of TV series Rise performed the song ahead of its May 11 release on Rise Season 1: The Album.
Among those singing Cara’s 2015 body image anthem was Rise star Auli’l Cravalho, who is best known for voicing the titular character in the 2016 animated feature Moana. In the film, she sang “How Far I’ll Go,” which Cara recorded for the soundtrack album.
“Scars To Your Beautiful” was written by Cara with Warren Felder, Coleridge Tillman and Andrew Wansel.
The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays on CTV.
