Singer Ruth B is getting plenty of attention for her interpretation of “Lost in Japan,” one of the tracks on the new album from her fellow Canadian Shawn Mendes.
The 22-year-old Alberta native posted a minute-long clip of her singing Mendes’ song along with the caption: “new album goes crazy, I love it”
Ruth B’s cover caught the attention of one of the members of pop group Why Don’t We.

Ruth B, who won Breakthrough Artist of the Year at the 2017 Juno Awards, released her debut album Safe Haven last year. The video for her single "Lost Boy" has been viewed more than 86 million times.
