Shawn Mendes on Monday released a new video for “Nervous” that features nothing but the singer and the hands of American artist and model Lilliya Scarlett (aka the luckiest girl in the world).
The Canadian star had previously shared a black-and-white vertical version of the visual with fans.
Some fans on social media are lauding the fact that the hands in the video could easily be those of a guy. Mendes shared a photo on Instagram showing both Scarlett and video director Eli Linnetz (aka the luckiest guy in the world) touching him.
Only a week ago, Mendes spoke to iHeartRadio about Pride month.
"The amount of progress we've made is just so inspiring for me in every way," he said. "To stand on stage and to see the [rainbow] flags being waved... it fills you with that energy. It means the world to me, honestly.
"You're literally watching the world, and people, go through the biggest transition humanity has ever gone through with acceptance and it's beautiful. I feel really honoured to be going through this right now with everyone."
