Shawn Mendes made his sophomore appearance as musical guest on Saturday Night Live, where he delivered his brand new single “If I Can’t Have You” as well as “In My Blood.”
Mendes was the ninth solo male Canadian artist to perform on SNL when he first appeared on the show in December 2016.
The singer also showed off his comedy chops by appearing in a sketch with host Adam Sandler and former SNL cast members Jimmy Fallon and Kristen Wiig.

Mendes has gone on record as saying that he wants to act. “I want to do it soon,” he told Variety.
Last year, he revealed that he was in the running to play gay teen Simon Spier in the romantic comedy Love, Simon.
“I would’ve loved to. Unfortunately, timing didn’t work out,” he told the Elvis Duran radio show. “That would’ve been amazing.”
