K-pop supergroup SuperM – which includes Toronto’s Mark Lee – has premiered “100,” the first single from their forthcoming debut album “Super One.”
The high-energy song, co-written and co-produced by Lee, challenges “listeners to go after their dreams,” according to a release.
“They all want, they all want what we got / It’s the way that we make, make it hot,” they sing in the chorus. “And we come, come in, ready or not / We going straight to the top / We go 100.”
The song came last Friday with a music video that had more than 9 million views over the weekend.
SuperM, whose members range in age from 21 to 28, is made up of SHINee’s Taemin; EXO’s Baekhyun and Kai; NCT 127’s Taeyong and Mark; and WayV’s Ten and Lucas. Their self-titled debut EP last October peaked at No. 38 on the Canadian chart but went to the top of the Billboard 200 in the U.S. – making it the only K-pop group besides BTS to do so.
Another single, “Tiger,” is due Sept. 1 and Super One will drop on Sept. 25.
