A video clip showing a young woman signing lyrics for her deaf father at a Three Days Grace concert in Edmonton is warming hearts around the world.
“We witnessed something absolutely beautiful,” Jules Maria wrote on Facebook, where she shared a 32-second video of Karri Carberry providing sign language interpretation of the band’s 2003 song “Just Like You.”
“We couldn’t care less about what was happening on stage, watching them was absolutely mesmerizing. They were both very sweet and her father was very proud of his daughter.”
According to others at the Dec. 12 concert, the 19-year-old dad Darrin hugged her after every song.
The video has already been viewed more than 12 million times on Facebook and has elicited thousands of comments like “What an awesome daughter!” and “How beautiful.”
One person commented: “This is awesome. so much love ... What a amazing father/daughter moment.”
Even Three Days Grace was moved by what they saw. “This is amazing!” reads a tweet from the band, who also shared the video.
