The Weeknd has taken the wraps off the video for his new single “Secrets.”
Directed by Pedro Martin-Calero, the video was shot in February at the Toronto Reference Library and at the University of Toronto’s Scarborough campus.
It features an appearance by Montreal-born dance artist Black Atlass (aka Alex Fleming).

The song, which comes from The Weeknd’s album Starboy, borrows from The Romantics’ 1983 hit “Talking In Your Sleep" and samples the 1982 Tears For Fears track "Pale Shelter." (Ironically, Tears For Fears filmed the video for "Head Over Heels" at a University of Toronto library.)
The Weeknd was born and raised in Toronto. Last year, he donated $50,000 to help create an Ethiopic Studies program at the University of Toronto.
