The Weeknd is busy these days.
The Toronto singer's new album already got attention thanks to the the first single, "Starboy," a collaboration with Daft Punk.
We were greeted with the second single from the album a couple of days ago, and even more buzz is building up, with the video already reaching more than 4 million views.
As it turns out, "False Alarm" is an intense video shot from the hero's perspective. You are taken into a bank heist that takes a wrong turn. Between explosions and gun shots, the video brings violence on the forefront.
Directed by Ilya Naishuller, a Tarantino-like storyteller, it feels like a video game gone to film.
Quite a way to make an entrance with these two first suprises. Will The Weeknd have more surprises in store as the promotion for the new album rolls out? We'll keep a watch on that.
