Rising country star Charlie Worsham collaborated with Tim McGraw in Toronto on a cover of Glen Campbell’s 1975 classic “Rhinestone Cowboy.”
The acoustic duet, which took place in a dressing room at the Air Canada Centre during a stop on McGraw’s Soul2Soul World Tour with wife Faith Hill, was captured on video.
Worsham was the opening act at the June 23 and 24 shows in Toronto (as well as the June 22 concert in Ottawa).
In the video, Worsham first suggests doing Ronnie Milsap’s “Daydreams About Night Things” before McGraw chooses “Rhinestone Cowboy.”
After the backstage performance, McGraw jokes: “If I could sing like that, I would have a career.
“I mean, my God.”
McGraw tweeted a link to the video and captioned it: “This guy rocks!”
Worsham, who released his second album Beginning of Things in April, tweeted back that it was a “pretty rad experience singing with this guy!”
