When Victoria Beckham took to Snapchat to tease a car ride with James Corden, most folks assumed that the fashion designer was going to partake in the host's beloved "Carpool Karaoke" segment. However, we learned the real meaning behind their shoot when an almost-three-minute parody of the 1987 classic, Mannequin, aired on Thursday's episode of The Late Late Show and it featured some Spice Girls love.
In the over-the-top trailer, which is described by a voiceover as "the reboot no one asked for," Corden falls in love with a plastic version of the former pop star and nobody can understand why. In a nod to the '80s film, the comedian is seen on his talk show set with the mannequin, but he truly sees things a different way.
"He was a talk show host," the voiceover explains in the clip. "And she was a mannequin who turned his world upside down. To everyone else, he's a disaster. The world couldn't understand their love."
Beckham and Corden take their love on the road when they hop in a car for a get-away and hit the road for a little "Carpool Karaoke" to Spice Girls' 1997 smash, "Spice Up Your Life." Press play and let all the magic unfold below.
