The video for Glen Campbell’s bittersweet song “Adiós” follows the journey of his guitar from Nashville to California.
The guitar is passed from person to person, starting with the country legend’s daughter Ashley and ending up with his grandson Jeremy Olson.
Directed by Peter Zavadil, the video also includes archival photos and clips of Campbell.
“My father's music has touched so many people's lives so I hope that this video will resonate with a lot of people,” Ashley Campbell said in a statement.
“Music moves through us all in different ways, lighting a fire in each of us. That fire will always be burning as music keeps moving and as each of us continues to pass the torch.”
Written by Jimmy Webb, “Adiós” comes from Campbell’s farewell album of the same name, which was released in June.
The 81-year-old “Rhinestone Cowboy” singer is in the late stages of Alzheimer’s disease in Nashville.
