A better way to kick off the week, there is not.
Yoda, aka grand Master Jedi, shares his fear of seagulls in a catchy song that’s going viral.
The video for the infectious ditty from Dagobah comes from the funny folks at Bad Lip Reading — and it’s been viewed more than 2.5 million times in the first three days of being online.
Using footage from 1980’s Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, “Seagulls! (Stop It Now)” starts with Luke Skywalker venting about a girl named Brenda, a bad guy who hurt him, and a bladder blunder.
“It’s nothing a little music can’t help,” Yoda offers as consolation, before launching into a song about his seabird phobia and a seemingly unrelated hacky-sack incident.
The wrinkled swamp puppet also schools the young Jedi on dancing, jumping, and climbing.
Whiny droid R2-D2 also makes an appearance.
The video ends with Skywalker critiquing Yoda’s singing — and then getting an ominous warning.
If you feel that the force of the song must be with you, it’s available for download on iTunes.
