Brand new dad ZAYN (aka Zayn Malik) has released “Better,” a song he co-wrote for his forthcoming album.
“Gotta let it go so your heart don’t break / ‘Cause I love you / Yeah baby I love you,” the 27-year-old sings. “Just this one time hear what I’m tryna say / Know you might not feel quite the same way / But I love you / I tell you, I love you.”
The former One Direction member’s third solo album follows 2018’s Icarus Falls and 2016’s Mind of Mine. According to a release, ZAYN had “total creative reign” and is “making the music he has always wanted to.”
Malik enlisted his “iT’s YoU” video director Ryan Hope to call the shots on the “Better” video.
On Wednesday, Malik shared the news on social media that he has become a first-time parent with girlfriend Gigi Hadid.
“Our baby girl is here, healthy & beautiful,” he wrote. “To try put into words how i am feeling right now would be an impossible task. The love i feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding. Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, & thankful for the life we will have together x.”
