ZAYN and Zhavia Ward are giving a whole new life to the Disney classic “A Whole New World” in a video that debuted Thursday.
Just like the 1992 single, recorded by Peabo Bryson and Regina Belle, the new version will play over the end credits of the forthcoming live-action Aladdin movie.
Penned by Tim Rice and Alan Menken for the animated adaptation, the song won both an Oscar and a Grammy Award and spent a week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in March 1993.
Aladdin, starring Toronto’s Mena Massoud as the title character, opens in cinemas on May 24.
