Kyle Pavone, frontman for metal band We Came As Romans, died Saturday. He was 28.
“Kyle’s tragic loss came too early in his life and those of his bandmates,” read a message shared on the band's Instagram. “All are devastated by his passing.
“We will miss his smiles, his sincerity, his concern for others, and his impressive musical talent.”
The statement added that the band and Pavone’s family thank fans and the music community “for all of their love and support as they navigate their grief.”
A cause of death was not immediately revealed but TMZ cited sources as saying Pavone was admitted to hospital in Michigan on Aug. 19.
A day earlier, Pavone tweeted lyrics from the band’s song “Promise Me”: “Will i be remembered or will i be lost in loving eyes.”
We Came As Romans musician Joshua Moore took to Instagram to share a photo of he and Pavone, whom he described as “the craziest, goofiest, most funny and lovable kid.”
He added: “I miss you so much.”
