Good news coming for West Lincoln Memorial Hospital in the fall: Oosterhoff

Niagara is slated to get two new hospitals.

We learned yesterday that the new hospital in South Niagara is moving forward with the Ontario government's support.

Plans are to open the hospital at the corner of Montrose and Lyons Creek in Niagara Falls by 2026.

The government is also moving forward with plans to rebuild West Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Grimsby.

Niagara West MPP Sam Oosterhoff says more good news is coming is the fall, and he encourages residents to stay tuned.

Currently babies are not being delivered on the weekends at the Grimsby hospital as work continues on the aging operating rooms.

Last November Ontario Premier Doug Ford committed $500,000 to help fund planning for the new hospital and $8.5 million in immediate infrastructure upgrades.
