Routine traffic stop leads to drug seizure
A traffic stop in Niagara Falls ending with police seizing over $16,000 worth of illegal drugs and paraphernalia.
Yesterday morning, police stopped a white Hyundai Elantra travelling northbound on Garner Road, on suspicion the driver may have a suspended licence.
A search of the vehicle turned up cocaine, pot and suspected purple fentanyl, along with some drug paraphernalia.
Police estimate the drugs have a street value of more than $14,000.
The driver of the car, 42 year old Robert Rouse of St. Catharines, is charged with driving under suspension along wtih possession for the purpose of trafficking.
A passenger, 22 year old Ernesto Marzo of both Toronto and Nigara is also facing trafficking charges
