Everyone is Feeling Ducky After This Rescue

Our Tuesday Good Stuff featured an awesome story about Vancouver firefighters supporting local businesses by moving up their Christmas toy drive purchasing early!

Today, we have a great story about the Kelowna Fire Department.  In fact, this story is so good, some would call it ‘ducky’.

On holiday Monday, KFD Engine Crew 1 – with the help of the RCMP and some city workers – responded to a call about seven ducklings that had tumbled down a 15 foot storm drain on Burtch Road.  Using a rope and a bucket, a couple of firefighters dropped to their bellies beside the drain to bring the babies back to solid, safe ground.

Fortunately, none of the babies was hurt and they were soon reunited with mom.
