Local Artists Come Together to Support Student Mental Health

19 Okanagan artists will auction off original pieces of art created during and inspired by the COVID-19 crisis, in an effort to raise money for student mental health.

This Thursday, September 3rd, Third Space Life Charity will transform the Landmark District Courtyard (1631 Dickson Ave.) into a physically distanced, outdoor art exhibit featuring 20 pieces of art up for auction until September 10th. The event, presented by RBC Wealth Management Dominion Securities, will raise funds for Third Space’s Student Care Program - a free service that offers supportive counselling and mental health resources to UBCO and Okanagan College Students 6 days a week online or in person.

To date, Third Space has provided 1,000 free counselling sessions annually to students on and off campus. Proceeds raised from the original pieces and limited edition prints will also benefit the artists.

To bid in the online auction, visit www.Trellis.org/19. The online auction begins Thursday, September 3rd at 5 PM and ends September 10th.  Guests can view the outdoor, safely distanced art exhibit in person in groups of up to 50 on September 3rd between 5-9 PM by reserving free tickets in advance at www.Trellis.org/19.
